Tally Singer
Executive Director - Membership and Commercial Services

Tally has significant experience in account, sales and operational management, initially within the legal sector, specialising in conveyancing. During this time she worked for a large corporate property company, starting in their legal division managing an operational team, before moving on to account management and working with both lawyers and estate agents.

From there she moved on to work for smaller organisations delivering professional services, broadening her experience of different sectors.

Joining the CQI in 2013 as membership manager for IRCA, she initially focused on improving customer service delivery, expanding her role to incorporate the training organisations before moving on to lead the review of the CQI’s learning and development portfolio. Becoming executive director, Operations, Tally has responsibility for both the individual membership and learning and development.

Outside the CQI Tally likes to spend time with friends, enjoying village life in the countryside.

Professor Amanda McKay
Director of Quality

As Director of Quality at AWE, Amanda leads the Quality function within the business supporting both internal functions and external to customers and supply chain.

She is accountable for developing and setting quality strategy and policy across the company.

Amanda joined AWE in 2021 taking up the role of Director of Quality on joining the organisation. Prior to joining AWE Amanda held a number of roles within Balfour Beatty including Nuclear Quality Director, Major Projects Quality Director and prior to joining AWE Director of Quality and Assurance within the Balfour Beatty Vinci Joint Venture constructing HS2 Northern section.

During her time with Balfour Beatty she led assurance work on projects including BEP, HPC Heatsink and Tunnels, Crossrail, US DoD asset management and Beauly Denny Power Transmission line.

Amanda is the current Chair of the Chartered Quality Institute and currently lives in Glasgow and Cumbria with her wife, she is an active volunteer who spent time as an officer in the
Territorial Army and Special Constable but today her volunteering is within the CQI and the LGBT+ community. In spare time she is a keen model maker and industrial archaeologist.

Dr Clair Crockett
GP

Clair graduated from the University of Warwick Medical School in 2010 and initially trained in Obstetrics and Gynaecology before moving to General Practice. She is now a GP and remains passionate about women’s health. Clair has completed diplomas in Obstetrics and Gynaecology, and Sexual and Reproductive Health, and fits coils and implants. She is dedicated to empowering women to speak about their perimenopause and menopause, working together with women to achieve individualised care for their menopausal transition.

Clair has volunteered with suicide prevention charities to raise awareness and equip individuals with knowledge and skills through delivering education and training. The role of hormones in maintaining psychological wellbeing is of pivotal importance and Clair is involved in work that aims to ensure that this is well recognised by both women and healthcare professionals.

In her spare time Clair enjoys walking and keeping fit. She loves the outdoors but if forced to be indoors can be found trying to complete a jigsaw or cycling on her peloton.
